About Me

A bit about me

As a queer, agender, polyamorous person, and a kink practitioner, I have direct experience of the kinds of challenges that GSRD folk can encounter when trying to access affirming therapy. It was this, and my passion for sex and relationship education that led me to become a sex and relationship therapist.

I’m LGBT+, non-monogamy, neurodiversity and kink affirming. This means that I won’t pathologise you for who you are, how you practice relationships and how you have sex. I will respect the kind of relationships that you are in, your gender identity, your sexual orientation and your sexual preferences. I do not practice or condone conversion therapy.

I’m a pluralistic therapist, which means that I integrate models and tools from a range of schools of therapy and find what works best for you. It also means that we make decisions on interventions, exercises and treatment plans together, and have a continual dialogue about our relationship, and the direction that therapy is moving in.

How I work

My primary role is to understand what you are going through. It can be hugely rewarding to talk about your experiences in therapy, and begin working through your worries. I offer a safe, confidential space to discuss the challenges in your life, and how they are affecting you and your relationships.

Part of my role as a sex and relationship therapist is often solution focused; alternatively, it may be that you just need a space to talk with a professional. If you’d like our sessions to be structured I can create a treatment plan with you, so you know the direction that therapy will move in. This may include different exercises that I will facilitate in therapy, as well as things for you to try at home in between sessions.

My qualifications

I am a qualified psychosexual and relationship therapist, and trained with the Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology (CICS). I completed a two year Diploma in Clinical Sexology, as well as two placements with North East Counselling Services, and Sex Therapy Herts.

This course was accredited by the College of Sex and Relationship Therapists (COSRT), with whom I am a registered member. It was also the first course to be endorsed by Pink Therapy as a Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversity inclusive qualification.

I have continued to work with CICS, and am now their Lead Tutor for Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversity.
